Join the SGA!

Being a member of the SGA is a great way to improve your speaking skills, professionalism, and presence on campus in a welcoming, low-stress environment. To run for a position within SGA outside of Fall or Spring Elections, you must be eligible and undergo our internal election process, which begins by submitting the 2024-2025 General Candidacy Form, linked below.

 

SGA Internal Election Process (between Fall/Spring Elections):

  1. Submit the SGA Candidacy Form 

  2. Notify the SGA President via email 

  3. Announce candidacy during the appropriate period at a regular General Body Meeting, as determined by the SGA Recording Secretary and SGA President

  4. The following General Body Meeting, the prospective member will run in an Internal Election

Upon submission of the Candidacy Form, the SGA Recording Secretary shall be in contact with each prospective SGA member or Class Officer to define membership responsibilities and to further explain the Eligibility Screening and election processes (outlined at the end of the Candidacy Form).​
