Gent is a senior with majors in Political Science and Philosophy & minors in Legal Studies, Applies Ethics, and Economics. Being involved with student governance for his entire time at UMass Dartmouth, Gent is well-acquainted with the atmosphere of the campus and loves the work he does. As Student Trustee, he prioritizes transparency, advancement, and equity in the projects he takes on. This year, he will be working on same-day voter registration, making future Election Days holidays, prioritizing Hunger-Free Campus resources, and the transparency of the LARTS Project. In addition, his family's Albanian immigrant background and passion for standing up for human rights motivates him to enter law school after graduation. He wants to assist in bolstering the rights of incoming immigrants and ensure they have quality counsel. Gent is proud to serve as the campus's Student Trustee and hopes to leave the campus in an even better place within its community.
